Mount Kenya University (MKU) is a fully fledged chartered University committed to a broad-based, holistic and inclusive system of education. We are seeking to recruit competent, dynamic and ambitious professionals to fill up the following vacant positions;

SENIOR LECTURER (PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY/ PHARMACOLOGY/ PHARMACOGNOSY)

1. An earned Ph.D or equivalent degree qualification (or a Master’s degree qualification in special cases) in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
2. At least three (3) years teaching experience as lecturer or six (6) years research/industry experience.
3. A minimum of thirty two (32) equivalent publication points as a lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty four (24) should be from referred scholarly journal.
4. Supervised a minimum of three (3) postgraduate students to completion as a lecturer or equivalent.
5. Registered with the relevant professional body.

LECTURERS (PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY/ PHARMACOLOGY/ PHARMACOGNOSY)

1. An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
2. Registered with the relevant professional body.

OR

1. A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University
2. With at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level or research or industry
3. A minimum of twenty four (24) publication points of which at least sixteen (16) should be from referred journal papers.

TUTORIAL FELLOW (PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY/ PHARMACOLOGY/ PHARMACOGNOSY)

• Have a Bachelors and Master’s degree qualification from accredited and recognized university in the relevant field;
• Be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral Degree qualification; and
• Be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
